Central Pattaya

Pattaya is a city and popular beach destination for tourists situated on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand.  Pattaya is known for attracting millions of tourists that vacation at its beach resorts and enjoy Pattaya’s walking street and world-famous nightlife scene.  Pattaya is comprised of three main areas, Central Pattaya or Pattaya City; the central and biggest toursit area, Na Kluea, the upscale business area of Pattaya to the north; and Jomtien, the southern and more quiet beachside leg of Pattaya.  

Recent initiatives by the government aims to transform Pattaya from a nightlife haven to a world-class sports destination.  Pattaya already has the infrastructure and sports facilities in place, and hosts a number of sports events including the ASEAN PGA Tour, PTT Pattaya Tennis Open and the Top of the Gulf Regatta, Asia's largest multi-class sailing event to name a few.  

The beaches in Pattaya include, Pattaya Beach, Wong Amat Beach, Dong Tarn Beach, Jomtien Beach and Ban Amphur Beach, including a number of islands most notably Koh Larn.
